It was more than 10 years ago that I ran into this movie directed by "Famous" Keisuke Kuwata. This was a story about surfing, wave, love, and youth. I was not good at Japanese language, and there was no subtitle, so I could not follow the detailed story. But I could enjoy it so much, because I could feel the beautiful songs and music, the enticing and lovely summer beach scenes while the movie was going on. I still remember the moment when the ending credits were rolling up. A song was coming. I could not move because I was caught by the song. It was the most beautiful and impressive song I ever heard. The "MANATSU NO KAZITSU" is one of the masterpieces of SAS. The movie was full of Kuwata's beautiful songs. The soundtrack of this movie is still one of the best one I have. Now it's DVD's turn. For about three years I have been looking for the DVD of INAMURA JANE, but it is not released yet. Why not? I am waiting for it, and I would be the first one who buys the DVD version of this movie.
